First Annual Juniper Hill School Community Celebration and Fundraiser
The Board, Staff, and Families of the Juniper Hill School of Alna welcome one and all to their First Annual Community Celebration and Fundraiser! If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about this innovative, environmentally-attuned, little-school-with-a-big-reputation right here in the heart of mid-coast Maine or if you just want to come and show your support, mark your calendars for June 1, 2019. The celebration will be held at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath from 5 – 7 p.m. Admission is $25.00 per person and $65 per family. Heavy appetizers from Stone Cove Catering will be served with a full cash bar
and entertainment for the entire family, complete with Art Fair and Silent Auction. Child care will be provided for the youngest among us. Truly something for everyone!
All proceeds will go toward supporting the mission of Juniper Hill School – and move us toward our dream of bringing the benefits of place-based education to every child in Maine:
Juniper Hill School for Place-Based Education connects children to themselves, to each other, and to their communities through studying both the natural and human environments. We utilize an integrated academic and social curriculum that immerses children in their educational context in a deeply experiential way. We strive to develop curious, creative, kind children who are becoming masters of their own learning and who actively engage to improve the world that surrounds them.
-Juniper Hill School Mission Statement
We want to make the world a better place – one student, one family, one community at a time.
